About SCR

Wayne Chalmers

Education certainly changed my life! Just scraping through Year 10 in the 70s, I spent my early working life moving from one unskilled job to another. Many a long day spent working in factories, warehouses,or washing cars. However, at the ripe old age of 30, with a wife and three kids, I knew I needed to change my circumstances.  So I decided to go back to school and this time around…apply myself!

10 years after I started my journey, with two university degrees, running two businesses plus teaching marketing at one of Australia’s top universities…I can honestly say: Education changed my life!

So I started SCR to help schools reach those hard to achieve goals like building stronger school communities, building a positive school identity,or building great relationships.

After years of working with schools, universities and community groups I can honestly say the most powerful tool I have used is the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method.  The power of building and telling your story has to be experienced to truly understand its effectiveness.

I’m a certified LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitator (certified by the Association of Master Trainers in the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method). One of only a handful in Australia that has undergone the Association’s  Facilitator Training program conducted by  Robert Rasmussen, one of the developers of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®
